Europe’s protectionist cloud-grab is a pathetic attempt to build a digital Berlin Wall. The EC’s “tougher criteria” are a transparent ploy to kneecap Amazon, Google, and Microsoft, stifling innovation just to prop up domestic also-rans. It’s economic nationalism masquerading as regulation, guaranteeing higher costs and inferior services for European taxpayers. Good luck competing globally when you can’t even pick a decent cloud provider.
